Romantic in Different Ways, 2013
The design was inspired by my idea of a silhouette from an image of a French woman in the 18th century. Her dress was very feminine with soft lines, pastel colors, and unique flower ornamentation. The purpose of the design was to fuse the romantic fashion style in 18th century France with contemporary idea. The dress can be worn two ways. The decorated dress becomes simple and clean after detaching the flower ornamentation on the neck and around the hip. The flower ornamentation that around the hip was inspired by an idea from a 3D flower pop-up card.

Day and Night, 2013

The design was created with the idea of combining two different lifestyles into one garment for modern women. The day look is a structured jumpsuit that is created by textured silk dupioni to show a modern style that could be used as a formal suit. By investigating a variety of folds and pleating techniques, the night look is made out of silk organza with rich blue patterns. The idea behind the garment was that the wearer can unbutton the shoulder line of the jumpsuit and get another look that resembles a completely different outfit for evening events.
